Kaizer Chiefs preparing for major changes as the PSL gets nearer to start.

With the PSL league season kick starting mid September, it means Kaizer Chiefs has had 2months and a half to prepare for the upcoming season. Alot is expected from the Naturena based club, after a terrible season which saw them finish outside the top eight, by Kaizer Chiefs standards that’s a poor season.

Having recruited a top technical team, that boosts with loads of experience from. Goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi who is also currently serving as Mauritania National team goalkeeper coach, Mzoughi will be tasked with re-energizing the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeping department.

The coach has already started his work in Naturena, and recommended new signing Fiacre Ntwari from Ts Galaxy for the no.1 goalkeeping spot in the team, which has been vacant for a while now. Fiacre Ntwari brings his experience to the Kaizer Chiefs department as an international and Rwanda’s number 1 goalkeeper.

Kaizer Chiefs also strengthened their strength and conditioning department, with the addition of Tunisian fitness trainer Majdi Safi who has worked with a number of top teams on the continent. Majdi known for his good conditioning, has also worked with Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca in the past which adds to his impressive CV. He is expected to get the Kaizer Chiefs squad in perfect condition for the incoming seasons which looks to be intense.

With the season closing in to a start, Kaizer Chiefs are looking at making more additions to their attacking force, the club released captain Keagan Dolly at the end of the season. And it’s believed they are on the market to strengthen that position, though they have been met with heavy resistance on the market as they couldn’t secure some of their targets like Elias Mokwana,Oswin Appollis Kaizer Chiefs still have a few names they are considering to strengthen their squad.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is working very hard behind the scenes, with his assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Fernando Da Cruz. To make sure they have the right quality to begin the season.

Mfundo Thikazi and Asanele Velebayi are some of the names linked with the Club, SS unlimited News understands that initially Kaizer Chiefs were in contact with Royal AM, for the services of Mfundo Thikazi but talks have died down without a bid, leaving space for the team to come back again in future.

While it has been largely reported that Kaizer Chiefs have seen a number of bids rejected by Cape Town Spurs for Asanele Velebayi, the Naturena based outfit is not giving up on the chase for the 21years old.
