Kaizer Chiefs face a tough situation on AmaZulu defender chase.
The PSL transfer window is proving to be a bit of a problem for Kaizer Chiefs Football Club, with alot of their targets proving to be difficult to acquire due to different sporting conditions. Kaizer Chiefs have seen three of their key targets move to the North of Africa, Cape Town City’s Khanyisa Mayo,Sekhukhune United Elias Mokwana,Polokwane City’s Oswin Appollis.
Even with difficulties the Phefeni Glamour Boys, are working hard behind the scenes to try and bring the right type of players for newly appointed technical team, Kaizer Chiefs have already signed a number of key players mostly in defense. The Soweto team completed deals for Gaston Sirino,Rushwin Dortley,Fiacre Ntwari,Miguel Inacio,Bongani Sam.
After being rejected by Stellenbosch FC for the services of Fawaaz Basadien, Kaizer Chiefs turned their attention on Namibian international defender Rian Hanamub from AmaZulu based Club. The relationship between Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu has been in shambles ever since the Siyethemba Sithebe deal. And the Hanamub interest provides Kaizer Chiefs the platform to rekindle their relationship with AmaZulu.
Rian Hanamub 29years old is an established left back with different qualities, and loads of experience as a no.1 left back for the Namibian National team, he has a different dynamic in his game can function as a wingback and as a Left Back with quality crosses.
Though he is Kaizer Chiefs second option for the position, Rian Hanamub is highly rated as one of the best left backs in the PSL, and can be a major signing for Kaizer Chiefs. If they manage to reach and agreement with AmaZulu.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to get their squad in order before the kickstart of the season, their pre season results against Young Africans(Yanga SC) where they got a 4-0 thumping was received in a negative light by the fans, showing that the Phefeni Glamour Boys are still far from their best. But with two FIFA Pro Licence coaches on the Kaizer Chiefs bench, and a technocrat plus a well experienced technical team the expectations will remains high for Kaizer Chiefs.
